Hello, thanks for taking the time to visit my bio page, here's a short bio: I grew up in Richfield, Ohio, right in between Cleveland and Akron. I attended The Ohio State University, graduating in 2002 with a B.S. in Geography. In May of 2005 I married my wife Leslie, we had our first child, Sofia, in April 2007. Leslie is a teacher; I have been employed at an engineering firm in Columbus, Ohio since 2004, I work there part-time in addition to being a part-time stay-at-home-dad, and also this part-time gig trading items at www.stayathomebrad.com. In late summer 2007, when Leslie returned to school, I took the role as part-time stay-at-home-dad home with the baby, Sofia. I plan to continue trading as many items as needed until I have enough value to sell them and pay off our mortgage, thus allowing me to stay at home full-time with Sofia. So yes, eventually I'll need to sell these items to make any money, but only once I am closer to my goal. The current balance of the mortgage on our Worthington, Ohio home is about $160,000.

F.A.Q.

Q. How can you pay off your mortgage through trades
A. The plan is to eventually sell everything off, but not until I could make enough money from the sales to pay off the mortgage(about $160,000 as of 06/2007).

Q. What items are you looking for in trades?
A. There are three ingredients that make a good trade: 1. something that increases the value of the trades, 2. something that is popular enough that someone else would want to trade me for it, 3. something sought after or hard to get.

Q. How do you value all your items?
A. I usually use the completed auctions at eBay to get a rough idea of what something is worth.

Q. How long will this go on?
A. As long as I can and/or until the mortgage is paid; it's a lot of fun...you should give it a try.

Q. What will you do after you pay off your mortgage?
A. Enjoy being a stay-at-home-dad, and help others trade up with similar projects and dreams.

Q. I love your idea, but have nothing to trade, how can I help.
A. If you could send a letter to The Ellen Show, The Oprah Show, The Today Show, or any media outlet that would be even more helpful than a trade!!!

Q. Why trading?
A. My brother introduced me to www.craigslist.org and trading, before that I was an eBay guy. I like trading better because you can usually meet the people face to face.
